This trek is famous as one of the most remote treks in all of Nepal. It takes you to the world's fifth highest mountains and deep into the North eastern Himalaya. This trek is located inside the Makalu-Barun National Park which provides some of Nepal's most unseen and amazing scenery ranging from the sweeping Arun River valley, over the Barun La (4200m.) to the remorseless ice fields surrounding Makalu (8463m.).

This is an extremely isolated area, surrounded by some of the most impressive scenery with Everest, Lhotse, Baruntse and Chamalang, dominating a very impressive mountain scale. The access to this area is a road link to the town of Hile or a flight to the village of Tumlingtar

TREK ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu.Khandbar

Day 03: Kathmandu – Tumlingtar (By flight) and trek to Khandbari.

Day 04: Khandbari – Fururu.

Day 05: Fururu – Num.

Day 06: Num – Sindua.

Day 07: Sindua – Tashi Gaun

Day 08: Tashi Gaun – Kauma

Day 09: Kauma – Mumbuk.

Day 10: Mumbuk – Nhe Kharka

Day 11: Nhe Kharka – Sherson.

Day 12: Sherson – Makalu Base Camp.

Day 13: Explore Makalu Base Camp.

Day 14: Makalu Base Camp – Nhe Kharka (Trek back).

Day 15: Nhe Kharka – Mumbuk.

Day 16: Mumbuk – Kauma.

Day 17: Kauma – Tashi Gaun.

Day 18: Tashi Gaun – Balung.

Day 19: Balung – Phukuwa.

Day 20: Phukuwa – Bumling.

Day 21: Bumling – Tumlingtar.

Day 22: Tumlingtar –Kathmandu (By flight).

Day 23: In Kathmandu. (You can have shopping, walk around etc.)

Day 24: Transfer to the Airport for departure.
