This area, north of Pokhara, called "Ghorepani" offers some of the most dramatic close-up views of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. As the sun touches the snowcapped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. This is a rewarding trek that can be enjoyed by every lover of nature and beautiful landscape. This is one of the lower elevation treks that we offer rising to only 3200 m. The abrupt variation in altitude found here is astonishing. From the Pokhara airstrip (850m) the summit of Machhapuchhare (6997m) is less than 30 km. This area is home to the Magars and Gurungs (backbone of the famous Gorkha regiments). The trek passes through rhododendron and mixed forest alive with ferns and birds, through spectacular villages of the Gurkha soldiers with their spectacular Himalayan back drops leads to Ghorapani 2834 m. The following morning visits Poon Hill at (3210 m), a vantage point to view the Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and the Annapurna massif. The trek makes a small circuit and visits Tadapani (2450 m), Ghandruk and finally ends in Pokhara.

TREK ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport
Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and then transfer to the Hotel. You will have a nice clean room with attached bathroom and 24 hrs running hot water.

Day 02:Kathmandu Sightseeing
The following morning of arrival you will be taken on Sightseeing tour of the many holy temples and interesting surrounding sights of Kathmandu to show its back ground and history.

Day 03: Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara
Kathmandu - Pokhara by comfortable tourist bus (6 hr. driving)/Hotel

Day 04: Pokhara - New Bridge (Birethati)
Driving for 2 hrs and walk to Tirkhedhunga for 6 hrs.

Day 05: Tirkhedhunga - Ghorepani (Trek about 5 hrs).

Day 06: Ghorepani-Poon Hill
We go up to Poon Hill early in the morning to see the sunrise and to view the beautiful mountain range and back to Ghorepani and take breakfast and then trek to Tadapani.

Day 07: Tadapani – Ghandruk
And next day we trek to Ghandruk Village.

Day 08:
And from Ghandruk we trek to Birethanti and then come back to Pokhara by bus or taxi.

Day 09: Drive Back to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Rest Day
Join the farewell dinner in the evening most probably with cultural program

Day 11: Transfer to the airport for Departure.
